- We will email you the day before your scheduled service and the evening after completion so you know when we are coming and when we were treated your yard…no guessing and no sitting home waiting for us to arrive!
- We will knock on your door prior to service to discuss our plan of attack and bug activity and remind you of the 30 minute no play rule. Remember, you’re welcome to view our techs spraying your yard but certainly not required to be there. We are very happy to service your yard while you are at work or out running errands.
- Our licensed techs will professionally barrier treat your property and will tip over any standing water to eliminate mosquito breeding areas.
- Upon completion we will leave a card with our licensed technician’s name, time and date we treated your property and put out a yard sign too.
- 100% Guarantee. Nature is unpredictable. For our customers on seasonal contracts, if at any time between your regularly scheduled tick and mosquito service you have any problems with these pests simply give us a call and we will treat your yard free of charge generally within three business days.

Q: What makes Backyard Bug Patrol different?
A: We specialize in ticks and mosquitoes and a few other outdoor pests. We don’t fertilize your lawn or kill bugs inside your home. We feel that being experts and the best in a few specific areas serves us and our customer better. Plus we have a personal interest in helping families rid their yards of ticks. Q: Are your techs licensed?
A: All of our techs must undergo a training period and take a state certification test. They are required to be licensed in every state we operate.
Q: Will your treatments kill my plants?
A: No. Our products are non-toxic to mammals and plants.
Q: Will it harm other animals and bees?
A: It won’t harm animals or humans. Bees are bugs so our licensed technicians take care not to spray the blossoms of flowers.
Q: How effective is the treatment?
A: For your first spray, our treatment is 80-90% effective in eradicating ticks and mosquitoes. Please keep in mind that treatments are cumulative and your yard will become more pest-free with each treatment.
Q: What happens if I see mosquitoes or ticks between treatments?
A: Nature is unpredictable. If you are on a seasonal contract and have a mosquito bloom or see ticks in between treatments just give us a call and we will come out as soon as possible and treat your yard free of charge. Remember, when we spray, we kill 80-90% of the ticks and mosquitos. That means if you started with 1000 mosquitoes you could still have 100 buzzing around.
Q: Does your treatment kill gnats?
A: Collaterally, our spray kills gnats on contact but gnats don’t live in the same habitat as ticks and mosquitoes, we can’t completely eradicate them and you will have some residual gnats in your yard.
Q: Do I need to be home when the tech comes to treat my yard?
A: Not at all. We will treat your yard and let you know we were there. Our tech will leave a card with the date and time on your door and that evening you’ll get an email from us notifying you that we treated your yard.
Q: Do I need to schedule our service each month?
A: Once your seasonal contract or event spray is booked we’ll come out and service your property. No need for you to call or do anything. You will be notified via email when we are coming out and when we have completed spraying your yard.
Q: How soon can my kids or pets play in the yard after you spray?
A: Our products generally dry in about 30 minutes after spraying. Of course it’s dependent on weather conditions but we ask that your kids and pets not go in the yard until it dries. After that feel free to enjoy!
Q: What type of payments do your take?
A: Personal check, Visa and Mastercard.
Q: Can your products be sprayed on my vegetable garden?
A: We won’t spray your vegetable garden unless you ask us to. However, our Simply Organic Program is certified by the USDA and can be applied to your vegetable garden.
Q: How do you treat my yard?
A: We use backpack motorized sprayers. They look a lot like the blowers yard maintenance companies use to blow leaves and cut grass.
Q: How does your guarantee work?
A: Nature is unpredictable. For those customers who are on seasonal contracts if you ever have a problem with ticks and mosquitoes in between your regularly scheduled service simply give us a call and we will get it taken care of as soon as possible. That’s it…it’s that simple. Generally we can get your scheduled for a respray within three business days.
